1. 6th Commandment (ESV)
The Sixth Commandment You shall not commit adultery. What does this mean? We should fear and love God so that we lead a sexually pure and decent life in what we say and do, and husband and wife love and honor each other. Matthew : So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.
2. 7th Commandment and Matthew 7:12 (ESV)
You shall not steal. What does this mean? We should fear and love God so that we do not take our neighbor’s money or possessions, or get them in any dishonest way, but help him to improve and protect his possessions and income. Matthew 7: Whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them.
3. 8th Commandment and Philippians 2:4 (ESV)
The Eighth Commandment You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor. What does this mean? We should fear and love God so that we do not tell lies about our neighbor, betray him, slander him, or hurt his reputation, but defend him, speak well of him, and explain everything in the kindest way. Philippians 2: Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.
4. 9th Commandment and Verse (ESV)
The Ninth Commandment You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. What does this mean? We should fear and love God so that we do not scheme to get our neighbor’s inheritance or house, or get it in a way which only appears right, but help and be of service to him in keeping it. Hebrews : Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
5. 10th Commandment (ESV)
The Tenth Commandment You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his manservant or maidservant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor. What does this mean? We should fear and love God so that we do not entice or force away our neighbor’s wife, workers, or animals, or turn them against him, but urge them to stay and do their duty.
6. First Article (ESV)
The First Article: Creation I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth. Psalm : The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.
