1. Psalms 91 (NIV)
I dwell in the secret place of the Most High therefore I abide under the shadow of the Almighty Whose Power no foe can withstand. I say of You Lord, “You are my refuge and my fortress; My God, in You I trust.” You deliver me from the snare of the hunter and from the perilous pestilence. You cover me with Your feathers, And under Your wings I take refuge; Your truth is my shield and protector. I am not afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day, nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. A thousand may fall at my side, and ten thousand at my right hand; but it shall not come near me. Only with my eyes shall I look, and see the reward of the wicked. Because I have made You, Lord, my refuge, the Most High, my dwelling place, no evil shall come near me, nor shall any plague come near my dwelling place; For You, Father, give Your angels charge over me, to guard and protect me in all my ways. In their hands they lift me up, so I don't strike my foot against any stone satan my try to throw in my pathway. I tread upon the lion and the cobra, the young lion and the serpent I trample underfoot. Because I set my love upon You, Father, You deliver me; You set me on high, because I know Your Name. I call upon You, and You answer me; You are with me in trouble; You deliver me and honor me. With long life You satisfy me, and show me Your salvation.”
