We are forgiven by the blood, saved by grace, changed by the Spirit, rewarded by our deeds, and disqualified by rebellion.
1. Eccl 5:1; 1 Sam 15:22 Obedience is better than sacrifices (NLT)
Do you think all God wants are sacrifices— empty rituals just for show? He wants you to listen to him! Plain listening is the thing, not staging a lavish religious production. Not doing what God tells you is far worse than fooling around in the occult. Getting self-important around God is far worse than making deals with your dead ancestors...Listen! Obedience is better than sacrifice, and submission is better than offering the fat of rams. Rebellion is as sinful as witchcraft, and stubbornness as bad as worshiping idols... Keep your foot (give your mind to what you are doing) when you go to the house of God. For to draw near to hear and obey is better than to give the sacrifice of fools (carelessly, irreverently) too ignorant to know that they are doing evil... Remember: We are forgiven by the blood, saved by grace, changed by the Spirit, rewarded by our deeds, and disqualified by rebellion.
The sins you refuse to conquer, will eventually conquer you.
2. Gen 4:7 Conquer Sin or Sin conquer u (NLT)
You will be accepted if you do what is right. But if you refuse to do what is right, then watch out! Sin is crouching at the door, eager to control you. But you must subdue it and be its master.” Remember: The sins you refuse to conquer, will eventually conquer you
Either Praise will break your chains, or your chains will break your praise.
3. Acts 16:25-26 Praises break chains (NLT)
Paul and Silas, undaunted, prayed in the middle of the night and sang songs of praise to God, while all the other prisoners listened to their worship. Suddenly, a great earthquake shook the foundations of the prison. All at once every prison door flung open and the chains of all the prisoners came loose. Remember: Either Praise will break your chains, or your chains will break your praise
