God said, “Let Us make mankind in Our image, in Our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."

Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God really say, 'You must not eat from any tree in the garden'?"

When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it.

Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned.

For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one Man the many will be made righteous.

For the Lord Himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.

In the beginning You laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of Your hands. They will perish, but You remind; they will all wear out like a garment. Like clothing You will change them and they will be discarded. But You remain the same, and Your years will never end.
